About this deal

The sound quality on this monitor is excellent and with the volume up I could hear my baby’s sleepy breathing. When the parent unit is muted its lights clearly flash whenever your baby makes a noise and the lights appeared sensitive to every sound during my testing. It has five blue lights in a vertical line which indicate an escalating scale, with all of them lighting up when the baby is loud. Using the parent rechargeable unit you can rotate and zoom the full colour camera to adjust the view without having to disturb your little one. You can pan the camera around, tilt it up and down and zoom in. Like BT’s audio monitor, it’s easy and intuitive to use with all the buttons clearly labelled on the front, apart from how to move the camera, which isn’t instantly obvious. You have to press OK and then the crosshairs appear on the screen and you can use the arrows to direct the camera position. Both units have mains cable but the parent unit also is also rechargeable so you can carry it around with you from room to room /in the garden with ease. The innovative sensor pad can be placed underneath the mattress to monitor all of your baby’s movements. It can be set to different pressure sensitivity levels and controlled thought the parent handset.

Angelcare have been market leader for the last 15 years and have proved time and time again that they produce well designed and effective baby products. They are the first to combine all three types of baby monitor into one product. At night, the AC327 all but loses the facial features on the baby leaving parents to guess what is happening. If you are looking for a leading product that does all of that and have are able to splurge on a high end baby product then the Angelcare AC1100 might be for you.As with BT, this monitor is easy and intuitive to use, without needing to consult instructions. It can be set to show you the picture whenever there is a noise in baby’s room, or you can opt to watch your baby continuously. It has an impressive battery life in comparison to the other video monitors I tested. I love the fact that the product means I can see, hear and virtually feel my baby from another location. It’s made my life an awful lot easier as a mum with other little ones, as it means that I can put my other children to bed without the worry of not knowing what’s going on in my baby’s room. The monitor was particularly reassuring when it came to moving my baby into her cot from her Moses basket – always a worrying time for parents! I found the connection reliable throughout my house and garden for the first few days but then it went array and repeatedly lost connection. A shame – I became unable to rely on it. BT’s Video monitor has a nice large 5-inch screen on the parent unit for you to watch your baby. The picture quality isn’t fantastic. It’s low resolution, so a bit blurry, but good enough to see what your baby is doing and gives a pretty clear view even in low light. The sound quality is excellent and sensitive to the smallest noises.

Angelcare AC417 Video, Wireless Movement and Sound Monitor

The menu has temperature alarms too for if the child's room gets too hot or too cold (you can set what you determine a high/low temp) Finally, a word of warning. If you buy a monitor, always remember when its switched on that you can be heard in baby’s room. You don’t want to be those parents who carp about your guests whilst putting your baby to bed and then rejoin the party to find a room full of hurt and offended guests who’ve listened to every word of your private conversation broadcast over the monitor. Ouch. Movement sensor mats are a great way for anxious parents to better monitor their baby or child and have reassurance at all times that their little one is okay. An alarm sound on the parent unit if no movement is detected for 20 seconds. So you start searching for the best baby monitor on the market, and suddenly you’re looking at video monitors, which allow you to study your baby’s visual cues. Is your baby rubbing their eyes and likely to fall asleep again at any moment? Or is your baby crying because they’re uncomfortable and need rescuing? Now that you’ve started to consider video cameras, you find yourself asking: is a static camera good enough? What about when your baby rolls out of frame – wouldn’t it be great to pan the camera around to get a better view of their face? Or follow them around the room once they’re old enough to climb out of the cot.The Angelcare AC1100 Digital Video, Movement and Sound Baby Monitor is an all singing all dancing video, sound and movement monitor that is fighting for the lead amongst the best baby monitors. I have had to adjust the sensitivity slightly now and again as I found if my little one rolled/moved to the bottom of her cot it would alarm yet she was fine just a little out of reach of detection. The nursery unit has a infrared LEDs built in so you can seamlessly switch to night view and still see your child without disturbing them with nursery lights. Movement Sensor I would definitely recommend this monitor to other mums! As a first-time mum myself, I was sure I wanted a video monitor and this one did not let me down. It is easy to use after the initial set up and the sensor mat that comes with the product is a real God send when it comes to putting your mind at ease.

Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor AC403 - Reviews - ConsoBaby Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor AC403 - Reviews - ConsoBaby

The screen doesn’t automatically come on whenever there is a sound – you have to press a button for the screen to give you a view of your baby. That might be a welcome feature, depending on your point of view. There’s no option to continuously watch your baby; the screen only stays on for one minute before shutting off again. The overall design is somewhat frustrating because from the front of the parent unit it’s not clear which buttons do what; you have to look to the sides to see the icons explaining their functions. The cute little halo on the nursery Angel unit it also a night light, which glows with a delicate and soothing blue colour. This can be controlled through the parent unit. It Is so handy to be able to have so many features in one product! The safety features are appreciated – I’m so glad that there are no wires around my baby when she sleeps and it’s great to know her breathing is monitored even when she rolls off the sensor pad. I know I’ll be using this product for years to come, as the two-way audio feature will come in handy when reassuring my baby when she’s older and wakes in the night. I would recommend this baby monitor to fellow mums mainly because of how easy it is to use and set up. I’m terrible with technology but managed to set this up in ten minutes! It has a number of functions I did not expect such as the room temperature display and the two-way talk, both of which are really handy. I was dubious about the movement sensor at first, thinking the alarm would go off every few minutes, yet this monitor is so sensitive it can sense her breathing!
