About this deal

Michael explains that when the first UCS Millennium Falcon (10179) was released in 2007 "was too expensive for me at his release" but when the recent incarnation came out he saved up and treated himself. After completing the build he realised "it is a huge thing and hard to display without a special acrylic box or table", so he decided that to put his Technic design and building skill to good use. Angled at a 70 degree angle, you can display your LEGO® Millennium Falcon in tighter spaces whilst also being able to appreciate the wonderful details across the top of the ship.

Okay, so both stands are very nice products, but what about the price?! Of course, as an owner of this great set you will probably be interested in a quality stand, but will it break the bank? Well, it doesn't...in my humble opinion. Because of the lowered slope, you can still open the falcon, and most play features are easy to access including the cannon underneath.Showcase and enhance your iconic LEGO® Star Wars™ Millennium Falcon with our bespoke display stand. The premium acrylic add on contains embedded studs to firmly hold your Minifigures and LEGO® information plaque in place in front of the vehicle. The amount of slope is lowered to 40 degrees to keep a better balance between aesthetics and storage functionality. The full dimension of both sets+stands is kept within 27cm(D) x 28cm (H) to be fit in most ordinary bookshelf. Previous ones are often too high and do not look naturally floating.

There's only one flaw in the design - it's noticeable in the instructions at step 13 because the software used to create the stand's manual deemed it an illegal connection, and it puts an uncharacteristic amount of strain on the frame. When assembling the stand it feels like the lift arms are going to snap under the force they are put under to make the connection. And though it seems there is some subtle curvature that probably leaves the designers at LEGO wincing, trust the design as it all settles outand you end up with a perfectly square and symmetrical stand. For the Sets: Switch two 1x2 plates (Trans-clear) to another two landing gears wherever they are placed on the top of the stand. The stand is easy to assemble and comes with all the necessary hardware to securely attach the Millennium Falcon to the stand. It has a sleek, modern design that complements the LEGO model perfectly, with a sturdy base and clear support arms that hold the model securely in place. These are the two features that enhance the playability while keeping proper showcase/storage functionality. It is possible to move the model on the stand, but you need to make sure to hold the two sides of the stand.

Our angled stands show off all the Falcon's best features and save on space, so you can have a wider choice of where to exhibit this legendary, incredibly detailed LEGO® build. Special Features: Here you can see an image of the baseplate, with a very cool engraving of the Millennium Falcon. I like little details like these. The top of the angled stems have small hooks for added support, holding the Falcon firmly in place. Taddaaaa! Here's that piece of junk placed on the stand. I can recommend gettting some help with placing the model on the stand. You can do it all by yourself, but it's more convenient to lift the model, have your lovely assistant remove the landing gear struts and help you positioning the stand. Two plates will connect the left side and the right side and give the stand its rigidity. The image below also shows the separate minifig stand, which fits nicely into the main stand. Minimal parts are used while maintaining a well balanced and steady structure. The stand could even be used as handles if you want to “fly” the sets around. Assembling the stand is pretty straightforward, although you will need to apply some pressure to fit the parts together. This isn't a bad thing, since friction is all that keeps the stand together, so you don't want the parts to slide in and out easily. Efferman's own advice is to build the UCS Millennium Falcon onto the stand, rather than mount a completed build on it. He says that "hte perfect situation for mount is when the floor plates on the underside are assembled. After this there is easy access to the underside during building."
