About this deal

Deadly Marksman– While The Blooded don’t specialize in ranged combat this could be given to the SharpShooter who never has to leave Conceal, and is mobile enough to avoid enemy attempts to run him down once he has made a kill.

And then finally we have the LVO 2023 Championships, an 87-player, 7-round event that took place in Las Vegas on January 28th. In contrast to our last two events, this event featured only Open terrain, so players did not have to build for or worry about Gallowdark play: This standard Thatos Pattern Module isn’t quite as roomy as the extended variety, but it still provides all the light, ventilation, and legroom a hardy pioneer could wish for – plus a full suite of telemetry from the roof-top gewgaw. These were first available in the recent Necromunda: Ash Wastes set, and they’re fully compatible with the Sector Mechanicus terrain, so there’s scope to make some truly unique battlefields. Thatos Pattern Platform and Walkways Teamwork makes the dream work though, and with a little TLC from fellow operatives we can take the carnage much further.

The rules for both of these kill teams can be found in the Kill Team Annual. It also includes rules first found in White Dwarf , including those to field a Warpcoven, Hunter Clade, Wyrmblade, and Void-dancer kill teams. There are a host of missions for you to try out new challenges for your special operatives. Phobos Strike Team The grim lens of the 41st Millennium pans away from Vigilus to elsewhere in the Nachmund Gauntlet – Moroch. This frontier world is hastily preparing a desperate defence in the face of onrushing Chaos forces, who want to eject the hated Imperials and claim the only safe passage through the Great Rift. On the other side we have the Phobos and Necron teams which undoubtedly need some kind of help. Phobos likely need something to make them more reliable in shooting, while Hierotek Circles desperately need a rework to their resurrection mechanics. Diving Into the Events Imagine the surprise on your opponent’s face when their carefully concealed operatives find themselves face-to-face with a very angry Ogryn before they’ve taken a shot. While he’s causing mayhem behind enemy lines, the rest of your Blooded operatives can spread out and take objectives at their leisure. TheChirurgeon: Swing and a miss here. It’s hard to add something that Death Guard would take, but Mutoid Vermin could have potentially been it if they were Troops or didn’t require Gellerpox Infected. As-is, the big guys are basically slow Spawn and if there’s one thing Death Guard and Chaos Marine armies don’t need, it’s more slow units.

Declare your allegiance to the Emperor or the Dark Gods with these two sets of themed six-sided dice for your games of Kill Team. There’s one set of 20 for each of the new factions, both with their emblems printed on the 6 face. Also escaping from the same boxed set are the Gellerpox Infected, a kill team made up of techno-organic mutants and daemons. Overwhelm your opponents with Eyestinger Swarms, Glitchlings, Sludge-Grubs, and Cursemites before finishing them off with your Fleshscreamer, Bloatspawn, and Lamberghast. Kill Team Annual 2022 On the whole, the current Kill Team meta is very healthy, with solid balance that leads to 13-15 out of 21 factions currently showing competitive strength. The Tier List The box includes everything you need to play Kill Team, including a copy of the full Core Book and the Into the Dark book, which contains rules for the new kill teams and terrain. You also get a token sheet, two sets of tactical ops cards, three combat gauges, six barricades, and 10 six-sided dice.

Opening Times

TheChirurgeon: On the whole, the Enforcer is just OK. The Ogryn’s an interesting beater, but ultimately there’s no shortage of good melee threats in the Elites slot for Chaos Space Marines. The attrition benefit is OK, but given your traitor guardsmen are 7 Ld and only come in units of 10 it’s not super likely you’ll use it in most games. Traitor Guardsmen The other half of Kill Team: Rogue Trader, the Gellerpox Infected are a group of massive, mutated crewmen infected with the Gellerpox, a particularly nasty plague of nurgle that affects ships traveling through the warp. These hulking behemoths never had much play in Warhammer 40k owing to their difficult keyword situation. That’s all set to change with this new datasheet, however.

Let’s add some finishing touches. Use Carroburg Crimson to paint any blood or gore effects, such as wounds or splatters, on the miniatures. As you can see, similar to Veteran Guardsmen teams we have a long list of unique specialists to choose from, along with the ability to swap two generic TRAITOR TROOPERS for more powerful unique operatives in the same way Wyrmblade do for their CULT AGENTS. Unlike the Wyrmblade team, The Blooded have so many specialists to choose from they can compose their entire team of them, only taking the generic traitor troopers if they wish to have 14 operatives on the table instead of 12. If there are any additional metallic areas, such as accessories or weapons, use Balthasar Gold for highlighting. Ushabti Bone can be used to highlight the cloth of both the Traitor Guard and Traitor Enforcer/Traitor Ogryn. Don’t forget to paint any eyes or small details with White Scar.

Rare Equipment

For those of a more Loyalist bent, there are these Space Wolves upgrades, following hot on the heels of everyone’s favourite helmets . Covered in runes, wolf teeth, and other symbols of the Legion, they can be used with the Mark III , Mark IV , or Mark V kits. But the taint of Chaos has already come to Moroch, and even now warbands of Militarum Traitoris* are throwing off their disguises and striking from within. Only a deadly Phobos Strike Team of Space Marines can prevent the world falling to anarchy, and taking the entire sector with it. If an operative incapacitates one or more enemy operatives while being under GAZE OF THE GODS AND within 6 inches of the center you gain a Victory Point at the end of the Turning Point. A pretty straight forward Tac Op that is not difficult to achieve, and a very obvious choice if objective markers are also located near the center as your opponent will likely have to commit operatives to them at some point. This can be difficult to score during the first Turning Point as your Chieftain is the only one who will be benefiting from GAZE OF THE GODS and will be unlikely to have a charge target that early. Still it is not unreasonable to score 2 points off of this Tac Op, making it a solid choice. Malign Command – Faction Tac Op 2 The first of our extra special… specialists? Should you decide to take the Enforcer over two standard troopers, what you get in return is a combination of melee specialist and force multiplier. The Enforcer comes equipped with a bolt pistol, power fist, 1 additional wound, AND a 4+ save. In addition, he has two unique abilities, Grueling Disciplinarian and Enforce (1 AP) . The first of these allows any friendly operatives that are within 3 inches and visible to ignore the movement penalty from injuries, while the second allows the Enforcer to give a friendly operative a free Dash OR Overwatch action.

This set comprises 299 plastic components and is supplied with 10x Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 2x Citadel 25mm Round Bases. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. A close combat specialist, this devotee of chaos has traded in his lasgun for power weapons, +1 atk, +3 to hit, and 1 wound over the standard trooper, a decent trade. In addition, he comes with two special abilities meant to encourage you to throw him into your opponent. Unholy Sustenance allows him to regenerate D3 wounds after he incapacitates an enemy in during a fight (so no grenade kills), and Blood Offering causes him to generate a blood token on the first critical hit used to strike in a combat. Take note this later ability has no Turning Point limit meaning he could potentially generate multiple tokens a Turning Point. Just as an example, he could charge into combat, kill an enemy operative generating 2 tokens in that combat, be charged by an enemy operative and subsequently die to generate another 2. This guy is barely more durable than a regular guardsman, so you shouldn’t expect him to last long once he starts mixing with your opponent. Traitor Commsman Motivation for Violence: Each time this operative performs a Charge action, it can move an additional for that action. There are two datasheets here to work with: One for the Traitor Enforcer, an Elites choice who can come with a Traitor Ogryn, and one for the Traitor Guardsmen Squad, a Troops choice that offers Chaos Marine armies a cheap alternative to Cultists. Note that these datasheets have the TRAITORIS ASTARTES and keywords, and are not available to Death Guard and Thousand Sons armies. Traitor Enforcer

Strategic Assets

To add depth and shading, it’s time for washes. Apply Agrax Earthshade over the armor and cloth of the Traitor Guard, focusing on the recessed areas. For the skin areas, use Carroburg Crimson. Another incredibly useful ploy that allows you to give 1 additional APL to an operative that is under THE GAZE OF THE GODS. This has numerous uses, and can really keep your opponent on their toes if used properly. Reward Earned In addition, when you select the Corpseman as part of your kill team you may grant one of the above abilities to an operative prior to mission start. While all three of these abilities are useful, giving Relentless to your melee specialists is a fantastic ability and likely your “go-to” here since many of your operatives are unlikely to survive long enough to need that 2d3 wounds. Once again this operative’s abilities highlight the difference between The Blooded and other horde kill teams as the Corpseman needs to be moving forward along with your other operatives to help pressure the enemy. Traitor Flenser Ever wonder how a Chaos Knight would do on Necromunda? We have. The answer is “definitely too well to make it fun”. Anyway, there’s some nifty outdoor terrain coming for Necromunda – if nothing else, it gives your Outrider Quads somewhere to hide from those Knights… Thatos Pattern Extended Hab Module
