About this deal

The one-piece cylinder brush (also known as a belly brush, centre brush, or a wide sweep brush) is now a staple of the UK road sweeping market. Brushtec were the first to bring this design of cylinder brush to the UK and Irish markets; and whilst others have followed in their own copies, we still have the edge on quality. They permit faster rotational speeds for cleaning procedures which, in turn, permit more efficient cleaning. There are several industrial uses for cylinder brushes, including but not limited to the following: Cylinder brushes are also known as “coil brushes,”“rotary brushes,” or “spiral brushes.” Cylinder brushes are formed by rolling a metal strip around a cylindrical rod (or mandrel) until it reaches a designated interior brush diameter.

Nylon. Nylon brushes are commonly used for scrubbing, dusting, and cleaning conveyor belts. Applications include bakery and food conveyor belts, plating processes, and lumber mills. Spiral-wound bronze cylinder brushes are typically installed on a shaft or a tubular core. The arbor is wrapped with brush strips coiled around and fastened with the proper density or spacing. Wheel brushes are circular brushes that are often used for deburring items during the beginning stages of surface finishing and during the final stages of polishing. Wheel brushes brush in a straight line and... Wire Brushes The Blue Zebra cylinder brush should be the absolute cylinder brush of choice for road sweeping operators who want to get the most performance out of their machines on these tougher jobs. A common representation of a brush is a handle with some form of bristles and is the one that most people have in mind when thinking of a brush. Writing a description of brushes is more challenging since there is such a wide variety of types, styles, uses, and designs...A wire brush is an abrasive tool that has stiff bristles made from a variety of rigid materials designed to clean and prepare metal surfaces. The filaments of wire brushes are small diameter pieces of inflexible material that are closely spaced together as a means for cleaning surfaces... Types of Brushes Our video below shows a one-piece cylinder brush changeover on a Johnston Sweeper, clearly showing the time-saving benefits. There are scenarios however where the use of wire bristled side brushes is not advisable, and instead plastic bristled brushes should be used.

Vacuum cleaners, street sweepers, and industrial compound applicators may all feature external cylindrical coil brushes. An external cylindrical coil brush is a long strip brush coiled spirally to form a cylinder. Depending on the task they are required to complete, they can be almost any diameter and length. Additionally, external cylindrical coil brushes can be tightly twisted to resemble solid cylinders. Other visions of this brush feature gaps depending on the application. Spiral-wound cylindrical brushes and coil brushes are both known as cylindrical coil brushes. They are employed in numerous applications and range in size from very small (condenser tube cleaning) to very large (glass washing). Cleaning applications include dusting plywood, cleaning condenser tubes, processing photos, and many more. Other applications include dusting, polishing, deburring, and cleaning. In addition, internal cylindrical coil brushes have been used as a drill to move products in a given direction. Cleaning, deburring, polishing, and other uses are also possible. Bronze Wire Cylinder BrushesBronze cylinder brushes come up to 20 feet long, with outside diameters ranging from 1-5/8" to 45" and interior diameters from 1/2" to 30" or bigger. Galvanized steel, stainless steel, brass, and aluminum are available for strip channels. Steel, stainless steel, or other materials suited for a specific application may be used to make the shaft or core onto which the brush will be placed. In manufacturing, bronze wire cylinder brushes are used to clean conveyors or brush a substrate's wide face. Based on strip brush technology, spiral-wound bronze cylinder brushes are specially created to satisfy a user’s specific requirements. Strip brush technology is also used in paddle wheel-style bronze conveyor cleaning brushes, which provide a refillable brush core. Bronze wire cylinder brushes are designed for a variety of purposes, including: Cylinder brushes have many common industrial applications. For example, they may be used to facilitate simple cleaning operations in machinery. They can also be used to remove particles from chips, rust, and oil. Smaller, more delicate cylinder brushes can be used for sensitive applications, such as cleaning a computer’s circuit board before installation. The brushes reach into crevices on the board to ensure remove particles, dust, and other contaminants. Industries that use cylinder brushes include:
