About this deal

Full Wireless and Wired Compatibility: With the Mode Switch, players can easily swap between PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC (using X input) devices. To begin with, we'd say that the DualSense is one of the best ways to experience PS5 games. A lot of games, especially first-party ones, are designed with the DualSense's bespoke features in mind, so it's got to be one of the best controllers for the console out there. Besides that, we can recommend the Scuf Reflex range, and the Victrix Pro BFG as solid alternatives. We'll soon be testing more models for the PS5 specifically, but there are also a myriad of great PS4 controllers that will work on PS5 if you play a lot of last-gen games. What PS5 controllers do pros use? You have smaller hands: I'd go for something else if you've got smaller hands - this is one of the chunkier gamepads out there. You also get an 8-way microswitch D-Pad with the controller, which paves the way for more precise movement. Understandably, the input is a massive improvement over the standard 4-way D-Pad that can be found on some competing products. Add to that the other customizable features and the Wolverine V2 Pro is easily one of the best PS5 controllers for games like Call of Duty Warzone.

You want to retain DualSense functionality: As with other third-party PS5 controllers, you won't find adaptive triggers or rumble of any kind on the Victrix Pro BFG. You don't care about customization: If you don't need to personalize and customize a controller's modules to your liking, maybe don't go for this one. Though the Gambit’s microphone makes use of noise-canceling technology, the overall fidelity is middling, and unlikely to impress those looking for high levels of clarity. While adequate for voice chat with friends (and enemies), the mic is likely to leave streamers and content creators wanting more.Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. There is of course the enormous caveat of its eye-watering price to consider, which would seemingly position it as one meant for only those seriously looking to go pro, though we certainly anticipate a game on the caliber of Street Fighter 6 bringing a new generation of competitors on the scene. Advanced, professional controller for PS5™, PS4™, and PC with seamless wireless or wired connectivity, long-lasting battery life and a full arsenal of customizable options. You want more battery life: The battery life here is worse than on the original DualSense, so it's worth looking elsewhere if that's something that bothers you.

Again, this comes down to what you'll use a PS5 Pro controller for. I've supplied some genres/use cases I'd recommend for each down below. I suppose this round can be considered a draw, but if you keep your own preferences in mind, it might help you decide which you'd prefer. You want good value for money: With its steep asking price and worse battery life than the original, the DualSense Edge could be too expensive for some. SCUF was actually the first brand to announce a third-party PS5 controller with all the bells and the whistles. Fast forward to today and the SCUF Reflex FPS still remains one of the best PS5 controllers for FPS gamers right now. Where the DualSense Edge falls short on price, it makes up ground in its software capability. As I mentioned, there are plenty of features that officially licensed PS5 controllers don't get access to because of Sony's license agreements, but the upgraded DualSense takes things a step further. The Gambit is extremely comfortable and can be worn for long periods of time with no irritation to the ears or crown of the head. The lightweight design doesn’t feel like the sturdiest out there, but the headset makes up for this by feeling unobtrusive on the head. Having worn the headset for upwards of 10 hours over the course of a single day, I’d say it’s one of the most comfortable gaming headsets I’ve ever used. Plug the included Wireless USB Dongle into your PS5™ console, PS4™ console, or PC. The LED on the dongle will begin flashing purple. You want something long-lasting: The DualSense isn't exactly a reliable or durable gamepad, so go elsewhere if you don't want to buy again later. It feels ridiculous to argue that, given that the Victrix Pro BFG doesn't have the DualSense's next-generation features. But let's be real for a second - those amazing features are great, but they aren't supported by nearly enough games, and this gamepad focuses on the aspects of a controller that really matter.

To set the triggers to Hair Trigger mode for fastest response and minimal travel distance, press and release the Clutch Sliders without touching the triggers. The triggers will now operate as a digital button. If you want absolute control over your gamepad’s design and functionality, then the AimControllers PRO controller for PS5 is what you need. Quite frankly, the amount of customization on offer here is stupendous.

This seems to be a really common issue where no matter what you do the software won't read the controller to update its firmware. No solution I tried seemed to work. I tried safe mode, unplugging all other devices, using a usb 2.0 port, nothing worked. Its possible that the issue is with windows 11, since I was able to finally get it working by using my windows 10 laptop instead. If you have more than one windows pc in your home this is the only solution I found. I wouldn't say battery life is the strong suit of either of these gamepads, to be honest with you. Both can be used in wired mode, if it's any consolation. Regardless, if it's battery life you want, maybe look for the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro, or look out for the incoming Nacon Revolution 5 Pro.

Cycle through different audio mode profiles by holding down the “Function” button and pressing L1/R1. The LED on the “Function” button will cycle between Purple (Pure Audio), Blue (Bass Boost), or Green (Treble Boost) to indicate the profile. The DualSense Edge is designed to build upon the foundations set by the standard DualSense controller while providing a more pro setup for gaming, but when it comes to deciding on which controller is better, its usually down to user experience. If you're looking for a more pro build for your controller, we'd recommend the Edge, but you'll need to prepare to pay for premium. Do I need a pro controller for PS5? You don't play games on the go: If you don't have a need for it, there's no reason to buy yet another PlayStation accessoryThough the headband is sturdy, the speaker cups feel flimsier than desired, giving just a little too much when held. This is a consequence of the headset’s lightweight build that places comfort over durability. It’s not a dealbreaker, but the Gambit is definitely best handled with care.
