What makes the Patron Añejo special? Patron Silver tequila is a premium tequila that is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of lime juice. It is not typically mixed with Coke as this would mask the flavors and aromas of the tequila.

The agave is stripped to reveal the heart of the plant, the ‘piña’, which is then hand-chopped, baked and crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone Tahona wheel and a roller mill. The resulting mixture is fermented for three days, distilled and, in some cases, aged in handmade barrels. Two months at minimum for PATRÓN Reposado, over 12 months for PATRÓN Añejo, and at least three years for PATRÓN Extra Añejo. Like wine and other unique spirits, tequila is produced according to regulations that govern its appellation of origin. Tequila may only be made in the state of Jalisco, which includes the town of Tequila, and parts of the surrounding states of Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. It must be made from blue agave and in accordance with additional rules for ingredients and aging. Spirits made using other agave species or elsewhere in Mexico are classified as mezcal. That being said, everyone has different preferences, and some people might enjoy the taste of tequila and Coke mixed together.
