About this deal

In 'The Shadow Sister' our historical heroine is Flora MacNichol, who I instantly adored for her fierce independence and love of animals. Lucinda Riley was born in 1965 in Ireland, and after an early career as an actress in film, theatre and television, wrote her first book aged twenty-four.

All of her characters, most notably Peter Rabbit, have become staples of British childhood and iconic figures worldwide. This is my favourite of the series so far, even though it arguably has the most plot holes/annoyances (I’ll get back to that in clearly marked spoilerish sections later on).Für den Sommerurlaub ist es wirklich das perfekte Buch, wenn man am Strand einfach mal die Seele baumeln lassen will.

And the mystery of why the girls keeps thinking they see or hear Pa Salt is fascinating me more and more. Nu am rezonat foarte mult cu personajele și nu am simțit aceeași fiori la în celelalte volume dar voi continua seria. I must admit, the 1st book - The Seven Sisters - is still my favorite so far, but these books seriously pull you in and this book - the 3rd - is no exception. I did read her books myself and to my children, and in fact, my character Tiggy’s nickname comes from Beatrix’s The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. This is a series well worth your time and attention if you are looking for something totally different from the norm, with a wealth of characters to get to know, and a plethora of places to discover as their stories are told, I cannot recommend it highly enough.Star takes on the role of both romantic partner to him, as well as mother to Rory … their fate is truly written in the stars (or, well… by me!

Following on from the bestselling The Seven Sisters and The Storm Sister, The Shadow Sister is the third book in Lucinda Riley's spellbinding series, loosely based on the mythology of the Seven Sisters star cluster. Flora is torn between passionate love and her duty to her family, but finds herself a pawn in a larger game.Sure it would be a little awkward, but why could he not have just told the man “listen, I’m actually in love with your other daughter, so why don’t we make the same arrangements but with Flora instead? It was good to see her step out of the Shadow that CeCe cast over her, and see her come into her own, through the telling of Flora’s story and the discoveries about her own paternal family that came with it. I thought that was what her big reveal to Mouse towards the end of the book was going to be about, but no.
