About this deal

The iconic crown which tops the signature silhouette is overlaid with a burnished silver patina, accentuating the noble blue of its lapis dome and the stone orbs that surround it.

It is not a bad fragrance, it is modern and no too "generic" but I feel that something is missing to be a breakthrough fragrance. however this is a pretty generic masculine frag; a scent you would expect when you think of a men's cologne - nothing that groundbreaking.I got another new scent this past Christmas, and it’s K by Dolce and Gabbana which was released in the latter part of 2019. this is one of those scents that every now and then I do get the "pickly" thing, which does not happen with the EDT. It's very sexy, fresh, masculine and projects well, it's very versatile and would work for any setting, signature worth too! However then you have this gorgeous fresh blue top notes and freshness that balances everything together perfectly. This is the fragrance that will either hit bargain bins and get discontinued and inflate to high cost or people will discover this gem and it willl be removed from bargain bins.

It is not repulsive or unpleasant, but it has the very generic and common DNA of many other designer fragrances. A clean, fresh, inoffensive, versatile scent DNA, just like 'K', however it has character, it has a personality. I'm going to pay an hommage to this fragrance as it doesn't get that much love in the fragrance community. This smells almost identical to Cool Water Intense EDP in the opening and a bit of YSL Y in the drydown. If you own the Eau de Toilette, this will be a great evening choice, or if you have a penchant for woody-spicy aromas you’ve met your match.

In conclusion, this is a solid release and it is a designer so as most there will be more synthetic oils, but this is true with most designers. The opening to this fragrance is where it shines the most; that blood orange is incredible and very pronounced.

I would immediately reject this if I concentrated on the bergamot/vanilla notes that remind me of Versace Blue Jeans (a juice that now days makes me nauseous). For people who are averse to Vetiver I wouldn’t recommend this fragrance as off my skin the Vetiver cedar combo is very prominent. The fragrance invigorates the senses with an intense combination of citrus fresh blood orange and Sicilian lemon, amber accents of clary sage, crisp geranium and energising lavandin, a fresh bite of juniper berry and a spark of fiery pimento essence. The citruses burn off of this one quickly, and it goes to that woody, green, aromatic territory I mentioned. I didn't think of any soapy vibe, but just a nice twist on the fougere and maybe de-maturized by the fruity accord.

It smells of summer, the freshness we need on hot days, it smells of blood orange, Sicilian lemon, juniper berries, sage amber, geranium, lavender, allspice, cedar wood, vetiver and patchouli. In a market where releases are screaming for your attention with obnoxious spice mixes and scalpel-sharp citruses, it takes courage to put out something as delicate as K, which requires you to take a moment to taste and enjoy the symphony of its flavours. It didn't help that marketing chose to use all the most common tropes of blue fragrances to place this product: you espect a fruity version of Sauvage, but what you end up smelling in a hurry at Sephora is fig compot in a crowned blue bottle. The perfumes that captivate you and the ingredients that brings them to life shape your olfactory profile.
