The true wireless features of these headphones completely negate this issue and being true wireless (that is, without a wire connecting the two buds) this makes the irritating head shuffle on the bench to try and shift that darn wire into a comfortable position on your neck a thing of the past! It’s a nightmare trying to maintain your music through a wired connection nowadays, with your very expensive phone regularly falling out of your pocket and yanking out a headphone before it clatters to the ground while you precariously balance a couple of *cough cough* 50kg dumbbells over your head…. If I can be honest, which is my only default setting, I didn’t have high hopes when the package for the Groove E-Buds arrived on my desk here at TRAIN Magazine. Each of the five members of our professional listening panel, who have a range of ages and ear sizes, gives a rating for how comfortable they find the headphones to wear, and we take an average. When I first set up the Groov-E SportBuds they connected to my phone in mono mode, so I could only use one at a time, which was confusing and a little frustrating.
It’s worth noting that Funcl’s offering is also cheaper than the Groov-E SoundBuds reviewed here, with generally more pleasing audio too. I found that the in-ear bud would squirm out of my ear a little, especially when running, but the hook kept the SportBuds in place. The headphones have an ear hook design coupled with an in-ear bud that you can shove into your ear to block out external noise and improve the sound quality.When you are on the move you've got 8 hours of Bluetooth wireless operation with just a 2-3 hours recharge time via the Micro USB charging cable which comes with the earphones. If you are in the market for an affordable pair of true wireless these are something to check out, Lightweight well built and sturdy these will not fall out of your ears and are comfortable from the get go. They aren’t fitted with wing tips or seem that ergonomic, but they also shouldn’t fall out unless you’re attempting rigorous exercise – in which case you may want some running headphones like the Under Armor True Wireless Flash instead.
Using earbuds while running makes life so much easier – no wires to get tangled with, or to accidentally pull out your earphones; plus being able to change tracks by tapping the buds is so much easier than faffing with your phone in the middle of a run.A five star rating is 2020 minutes or more, and similarly 1540 minutes for four stars, 1060 minutes for three stars and 580 minutes for two stars. The LED neckband has an off position, solid glow, slow flash and fast flash settings so you can ring the changes as you exercise and keep yourself safe when you're out and about.
