I can’t give a very accurate description of the scent itself because I don’t wear it but I do think it’s a really good one.

This smells very clean, without being neither powdery nor soapy (I especially do not care for powdery). In that sense, Penhaligon's deserve some respect for keeping one of the company's earliest perfumes going in spite of its scent profile. The fragrance is taken from genuine retail products and is entirely independent of the original manufacturing brand. All fragrances are 100% original but will not be supplied in any retail/branded packaging and no trademarks or logos will be used. If you were hoping that the lavender might save the top notes, I'm afraid to say it's barely present.Definitely a very dry citrus, not soapy or powdery but in a way, because it didn't smell particularly good on me it made it feel like a very fancy gentleman of a decade prior. Given its lush and aromatic composition, it complements the springtime very nicely and can be worn until the early autumn.
